CNA classes are short, they only last for about eight months, and wow will they jump start your career. Say you are trying to be an accountant or a teacher, wouldn’t it look great on your resume that at one point you took CNA Classes and was successful at them? When they are available, cheap textbooks for sale usually cost students 75 percent of the cover price. When they can be reused on the same campus, a local bookstore normally pays the student 50 percent of the original price.
We’ve got textbooks that are running $40 new, and when the student sells it back he gets $20, said Bob Pugh, chief executive officer of MBS Textbook Exchange Inc., a Columbia, Mo.-based used – textbook company.
If he bought the same book used , he would pay $30. If he can sell it back, the net cost is $10. It’s really kind of like a rental.
That’s if the book will be reused on the same campus. If not, wholesalers may step in to move the book to another campus. Pugh sketched out a typical price progression on a $40 textbook : the student gets $10 from a bookstore, the bookstore gets $12 from a wholesaler, the wholesaler gets $20 from another campus store, and that store sells the book to a student for $30.
From the wholesaler’s viewpoint, everybody got a little something out of that series of transactions.
