We finally decided on a location for our new house. Now, we just have to figure out how were going to design it. I’ve called up some London builders to get their input on what we can do with the land. We would like to have a basement, but we know you can’t always put one anywhere. The area has to be the right type to support something like that. I don’t know the details, but it has something to do with whats actually in the ground before you build. I’ve heard of people trying to put in something like that and opening up a sink hole underneath their property. That will just ruin any plans you may have had for building anything there. I suppose you could always build a big swimming pool or something instead. That reminds me. I need to talk to the builders about putting a pool in the back as well.

One of my husbands favorite hobbies is doing little projects to take care of our house. He plans to live in this place until he dies so it seems like almost every weekend hes out there painting something or cleaning something up. Last week, he completely resealed the entire backyard fence. It looks great but he was so worn out from the project. He was telling me that hed like to clean off some of the siding and maybe even pressure wash the driveway once spring comes around. I really think that hes right and it would give the house a clean and inviting look. He went to the home improvement store to get some ideas and then talked to his coworkers about using a pressure washer detergent. My husband says that all he needs are a few more supplies and hes going to get started on that siding right away.

The other day I was cleaning out my shoe rack when I discovered my lifelong companion… my Hello Kitty running shoes.
